Frequently Asked Questions

What is AI inpainting?

AI inpainting uses diffusion models to fill masked areas of an image with new, coherent content — matching the surrounding style, lighting, and texture seamlessly.

What can I remove or replace?

Anything: people, objects, text overlays, watermarks, power lines, vehicles, damaged areas, unwanted backgrounds — if you can paint a mask over it, AI can replace it.

Can I specify what replaces the masked area?

Yes. Use the prompt field to describe the fill — e.g. "blue sky with clouds" or "clean white wall". Leave it blank for intelligent auto-fill based on surrounding context.

How accurate is the inpainting?

Using ComfyUI with ControlNet guidance, our engine produces seamless fills that are undetectable in most cases — especially for backgrounds and simple objects.

What image sizes are supported?

Images up to 2048×2048 px. Larger images are automatically downscaled for processing and can be upscaled back using our AI Image Upscaler.

Can I restore old or damaged photos?

Yes. Paint the damaged, torn, or faded areas and the AI will reconstruct the original content based on surrounding context and style.

Is this the same as Photoshop Generative Fill?

Similar concept, but our engine runs on local hardware — no cloud dependency, no data sent to Adobe. Fill quality is comparable or superior for photorealistic content.

How long does it take?

Typically 8–20 seconds per pass on RTX 5090. Complex fills or large masks may take up to 45 seconds. Multiple variations can be generated in sequence.
